THE NEW YORK CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT BAND TO PERFORM
AT THE 2006 NAMM SHOW
CARLSBAD, Calif., December 12, 2005-NAMM, the International Music Products Association, announced today that the New York City Police Department Band will perform at the 2006 NAMM Show in Anaheim, Calif., for the first time in the show�s history. The band will play on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 5:30 p.m. in the Anaheim Convention Center lobby and again at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 20 as they march up Convention Way.
�The New York City Police Department Band is one of the premier marching bands in the nation and they are an inspiration to everyone who sees and hears them perform,� said Kevin Johnstone, director of trade shows, NAMM.
The NYPD Band started in 1903 and is made up of more than 70 musicians who work as sergeants, lieutenants, detectives and police officers in New York City.
