Feb. 11 Seminar on Depression with Linda Dano
Emmy Award-winning actress, talk show host, designer and author Linda Dano will be the featured presenter at a free seminar on depression (major depressive disorder), which will be held in San Diego at the Doubletree Hotel San Diego - Mission Valley.
Ms. Dano, most famous for her role as "Felicia Gallant" on Another World, was diagnosed with depression in 2004 after the deaths of her husband and mother. Since, she has become a patient advocate; sharing her personal battle with depression in the hopes of helping other patients and families overcome the illness.
During the event, Ms. Dano will be joined by Dr. Sally Edwards, a family practice physician, to teach people with depression and their loved ones about the illness. Participants will learn how to recognize the symptoms of depression, understand what can trigger the illness and map out a wellness plan.
