Information for Dog Owners: Approved Drugs and Related Information
Within FDA, the Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) is responsible for the review and approval of drugs for animals, including companion animals such as dogs.
In order to receive FDA/CVM approval, manufacturers must be able to demonstrate that the drugs are safe and effective when used according to label directions.
