For those who desire to become a citizen of the United States, the Missouri Multicultural Network, through funding from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) offers a free, online citizenship-preparation course that prepares non-U.S. citizens for the actual naturalization process through Immigration and Naturalization Services (INS).
The course, which may be taken at any time and at any pace, offers lessons in American history and government, a sample self-test using questions found on the actual INS naturalization test. You'll also find links to information on who is eligible to become a citizen, requirements for naturalization, fingerprinting, paperwork, sample questions and written sentences used during the interview to test your knowledge of the English Language. Links also include waivers, exceptions and special cases honored.
